Omron STI's new G9SX-SM Standstill Safety Monitoring Unit can help improve productivity by monitoring standstill status for machines with varied hazardous stop times -- with no sensors required.
When hazards have a long run-down time, door-lock control using an off-delay timer results in extra waiting and wasted time. With the G9SX-SM, extra wait time is reduced because the system monitors the motor's movement and unlocks the machine's access door as soon as the motor stops.
The G9SX-SM system can operate out of the box without any need for sensitivity adjustments; or users can manually adjust system sensitivity to the specific needs of each machine.
