SAFETY/OSHA Penalties Stiffen...

OSHA delivers one-two punch: increased penalties; focus on severe violators!
OSHA will implement a Severe Violator Enforcement Program (SVEP) within the next 45 days, with an increase in civil penalty amounts also planned in the next several months. The new SVEP program focuses OSHA's limited enforcement resources on employers who exhibit indifference to worker safety by consistently failing to comply with OSHA rules. An employer who qualifies for SVEP will find its worksite subject to increased inspections, which would extend to other worksites owned by the employer where similar violations might exist, and mandatory follow-up inspections of all worksites involved.

MURRELEKTRONIK has Proportional Valve Amplifiers!

Proportional Valves provide fast response and consistent control of pressure and flow. Many industrial applications such as web tensioning, ultrasonic welding, positioning, fluid coating, fluid mixing, and laser cutting demand accurate control of pressure and flow. They are especially useful in situations where system speed must be tightly controlled, or where ramping up and down is needed to avoid sudden starts or stops. Proportional valves also provide precise control in applications where hydraulic pressure must be built up steadily. Proportional valves control direction and the amount of fluid flow or can control the amount of pressure within a system.
Proportional Control Valves are controlled by electronic proportional amplifier control boards. Proportional amplifiers allow the setting and adjusting of variables for the valves, such as minimum current, maximum current, ramp time, and frequency.
The proportional amplifier is designed for use with single proportional solenoid valves. When using proportional control valves these devices take the input voltage and give a predictable output to the solenoid of the valve to allow for exact movement.
Adjustable input voltage from -10 to +10 VDC

Improve Productivity by Reducing Wait Time to Safely Access Machine!
Category: Default
Posted by admin on at
Omron STI's new G9SX-SM Standstill Safety Monitoring Unit can help improve productivity by monitoring standstill status for machines with varied hazardous stop times -- with no sensors required.
When hazards have a long run-down time, door-lock control using an off-delay timer results in extra waiting and wasted time. With the G9SX-SM, extra wait time is reduced because the system monitors the motor's movement and unlocks the machine's access door as soon as the motor stops.
The G9SX-SM system can operate out of the box without any need for sensitivity adjustments; or users can manually adjust system sensitivity to the specific needs of each machine. Additionally, it can be used with inverter-controlled systems without any threat of malfunction due to the inverter's dynamic brake or auto-tuning functions. |
